The lake is approximately 269 surface Acres and has a depth of about 25' towards the North end of the lake.  The lake is renowned for its clear, high quality water.  Lake Nahwatzel is open for fishing year around and hosts a variety of game fish. 

The lake features a public boat launch and parking area on the South shore which is accessed from the Matlock Shelton Rd.  Water Skiing and tubing are popular summer activities on the lake.

Lake Nahwatzel is a rural location with a drive time of about 2 hours from Seattle (92 miles) and 2.5 hours (143 miles) from Portland OR.
